Otherwise, I'm really unimpressed with everything I know of sims 4 so far. It's okay if that description sounds like it was lifted right out of some bad mary-sue fanfiction, it's sims and I can blow stuff up and laugh at it. Aside from the child part (that wont be half witch half mermaid), I cant do any of that in 4. I like playing my witch that makes a living traveling the world discovering tombs and relics, who restores cars in her spare time and had an illegitimate child with an evil merman. Sims 4 has removed features we've had in base game in previous ones, and it doesnt have everything that we've got from expansions already.
If you take out all the things Im mad at EA for, and all the things that just don't interest me with this game, it still comes down to content. Im a big sims 3 fan (still playing it) but man, I would not even consider touching this until at least 5-6 expansions out.
